Sarfaty Ruth Sarfaty, newly installed Vice
President, Corporate Communications at AOL, Inc., spent the
past three and a half years at Dan Klores Communications (DKC),
where she was Partner in charge of the Entertainment/Consumer
Products/Hospitality Group.
Before that, Ruth served as Vice President for Public Relations
at Radio City Entertainment where she managed the PR for hundreds
of events each year in addition to handling the PR around
the acquisition of Radio City by Cablevision/Madison Square
Garden in 1998. Ruth had served as Executive Vice President
at DKC from 1992 to 1995, working on a wide range of accounts
in television, business, academe, consumer products, the arts,
and the not-for-profit sector.
Prior to that, she headed the PR department at Barnard College/Columbia
University and held senior level positions at Caims &
Associates and, for nearly a decade, at Howard J. Rubenstein
Associates. Ruth holds a B.A. in French from Vassar College
and an M.A. in Journalism from NYU. She resides in New Jersey
with her husband and two teenage children.
