Shawna Seldon joined The Rosen Group in 1999 and has risen to senior vice president. She has developed publicity programs for clients including the American Wind Energy Association, the Geothermal Energy Association, Terra-Gen Power, the International Fund for Animal Welfare, The Nature Conservancy, Smithsonian, AARP, and biotech start up Cibus Global.
She has organized high-wattage press events from the Green Inaugural Ball to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama and Joseph Biden in 2009, to toasts for celebrities such as Adrien Brody and Sharon Osbourne.
In 2010, she managed the public relations for the groundbreaking of the world’s largest wind farm, Alta Wind Energy Center. In 2003, Shawna was named to PR News' list of "15 To Watch." In 2005, she was named to the Board of Publicity Club of New York, where she secures panelists from the media industry for PCNY's monthly publicity luncheons, including top tier television producers and magazine editors.
In 2010, Shawna was named a finalist in PRNews’ PR People Awards for Nonprofits. She served on the board of directors for Climate Ride from 2011-2012. Climate Ride is the one and only multi-day charitable bicycling event that supports bike advocacy and organizations working toward a sustainable future, by providing support to 30+ beneficiaries working on bike and sustainability issues.
