Shawna Seldon
Shawna Seldon is Vice President for The Rosen Group. Always one to think beyond conventional routes and with a gut for what news producers and editors want to see, she has developed publicity programs for clients including Ladies’ Home Journal, Mass Appeal Magazine, Filter Creative Group, and People Magazine, and has directed campaigns for magazine launches such as Budget Living and New Beauty. She has organized high-wattage press events from a briefing for Air & Space at the Russian Embassy in Washington DC, to toasts for celebrities such as Adrien Brody and Sharon Osbourne.
Shawna manages accounts including VNU Business Publications, Smithsonian Business Ventures, AARP Publications, Kiplinger Washington Editors, and PC Magazine, as well as projects for book authors including environmental journalist Eugene Linden, ocean activist David Helvarg, and auto industry expert Charlie Hughes. She also manages public relations outreach for non-publishing clients such as International Fund for Animal Welfare, and Cibus, a San Diego-based biotech firm. With an attention to detail and organization, Shawna gets top results for any publicity program.
In 2003, Shawna was named to PR News’ list of “15 To Watch.” In 2005, she was named to the Board of Publicity Club of New York, where she secures panelists from the media industry for PCNY’s monthly publicity luncheons, including top tier television producers and magazine editors.
Before joining the Rosen Group, Shawna worked for Porter Novelli International on Consumer Healthcare accounts. She was involved in programs including The American Cancer Society's "Great American Smokeout.”
Shawna graduated with high honors from the University of Florida with a bachelor of science in public relations and a minor in business. She volunteers for The Fresh Air Fund and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
