In October 2005, Nancie became VP of Chamberlain Communications Group in October 2005, an independent healthcare public relations agency specializing in developing and managing integrated communications programs for brands with high-impact social issues.
With more than 10 years of public relations management,
and specializing in health care since 1991, Nancie became
New York's Senior Media Relations Specialist for the prestigious City of
Hope National Medical Center in April 2002, an innovative
biomedical research, treatment and educational institution
in Duarte near Los Angeles. Designated a Comprehensive Cancer
Center by the National Cancer Institute, COH is dedicated
to the prevention and cure of cancer, HIV/AIDS, diabetes,
and other life-threatening diseases. As a world-renowned medical
center, City of Hope touches the lives of millions of people
everywhere through its patient care, research and education
programs.
Previously, Nancie was the director of public relations
for Cabrini Medical Center in Gramercy Park until September
2000, where she spearheaded public relations and media relations
strategies for the medical center, the nursing home, and outpatient
facilities, and was responsible for advertising and marketing
campaigns, the design and content for the Cabrini website,
special events and publications. Prior to Cabrini, she was
an associate public information officer for the American Medical
Association Media Relations Office. In addition to PCNY, Nancie
is president-elect of the Healthcare Public Relations and
Marketing Society of New York. Nancie is a graduate of the
University of Michigan with a B.A. in Communications.
