Stuart Zakim
Stuart Zakim is the Chief Liaison/Corporate Communications
Officer for Wenner Media, publishers of Rolling Stone, Us
and Men's Journal Magazines, which he joined in 2001. He is
responsible for all public relations activities surrounding
those three magazines and messaging to the consumer
and advertising communities. He also oversees the synergies
between Us magazine and its partner the Walt Disney Company.
Zakim has spent his entire career in the publishing and entertainment
PR world. In the motion picture industry, he has had senior
level positions at Columbia Pictures, DeLaurentiis Entertainment
and Universal Pictures where he was Vice-President of National Publicity and oversaw the
publicity campaigns on films including "The China Syndrome,"
"The Big Chill," "Gandhi," "Blue
Velvet," "Jurassic Park," '"Backdraft,"
and "Schindler's List." In publishing, Zakim served
as Director of Publicity for Rolling Stone magazine in the
mid 80's and as Vice President, Corporate Promotion for Playboy
Enterprises before returning to Wenner Media. He also had
two side trips to the internet, working as VP, Public Relations
for U Magic and iCAST.
He is a graduate of Boston University's College of Communication
where he received his BS in Public Relations, a member of
the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences and the New
York Friar's Club. He lives in Edison NJ with his wife and
three children.
